Created in 2023, the Capriccio Consort revives an entire side of seventeenth- and eighteenth-century music, through works for voice and instruments or solo instruments, in the spirit of freedom, plurality, and creativity that animated the musicians of this era, but also takes into consideration the repertoire of music from the nineteenth century to the present day.

It pays homage to Johann Sebastian Bach as well as some of his contemporaries, Haendel, Heinichen, Purcell, Telemann, and Vivaldi, or others such as Keiser and Zelenka.

Sacred or secular music, the Capriccio Consort, open to rigorous work in the broadest possible dialogue, aims to express the colors and feelings that characterized the musical sensibility of the Baroque era, using the original scores written for voice, oboe, oboe d’amore or English horn, and basso continuo (organ and/or harpsichord - cello or viola da gamba - modern or baroque bassoon).

The Capriccio Consort may expand the ensemble with other instruments and/or voices to form a small ensemble, depending on the proposed repertoire.
